If the customer signs up for the 2 free chapters then buys directly from the vendor’s email is the affiliate compensated or just out of luck?

hi, thanks for the question.

as long as the prospect doesn’t delete the cookie, the affiliate will get credited with the sale. there is a follow up sequence with plain links to the sales letter to help close the sale.

regards,
Stuart

This one of the very first infoproducts I bought and was without a doubt the reason I started on this online journey.

So what will stop people from simply signing up as a free affiliate, then buying it from themselves? or from the vendor? and bypassing my sale? Maybe take off the “affiliate sign up link” from the site? or have it pass through Rapbank instead?

Hi Doug,

There are several methods that come into play here to protect affiliates.

First, these are all RAP products, and (unless the commission rate is set to 100%) RAP ALWAYS pays the merchant first.

Second, have you ever tried to buy something from yourself at Paypal?

Third, RAP contains pretty robust logic to catch fraudulent transactions and disallow the product download (even after payment).

Stuart said, “there is a follow up sequence with plain links to the sales letter to help close the sale.”

Sorry, but that is simply NOT TRUE.

I subscribed to test the series. The first letter appropriately provides the download link for the free chapters. But the next letter I got had no mention whatsoever of the Crush Your Job product. It, instead, promoted Stuart’s blog and two of his WSOs (Warrior Special Offers). In other words, it promoted Stuart, and nothing else.

I have rated this offer a “1″ for lacking integrity.

Regards,
Terry

tgoodman – looks like you got a broadcast email that I sent to all my lists last night. I like to communicate regularly with all my lists so it is possible the prospect list for Crush Your Job will get some other non-CYJ related emails.

If you didn’t unsubscribe already, you will get the follow-up sequence with the bare links to the sales letter over the next week or so.

Is there an alternate version of the salespage without the optin box?
